Questioning the obvious,
connecting the unconnected.
niemand da tells another story of illusions and realities. It is available in both Turkish and German. It is about the power of thoughts and ideas. How things are. How we would have liked them to be. How they could have been.
Protesters from Gezi Park, elite researchers and even a former chancellor have their say — or is it just a media spectacle? Or the idea we get when we think we see reality?
niemand da juxtaposes and brings together a wide variety of musical genres.
* The German translation is included in the digital booklet.

The result is niemand da.
Serkan Özkan's music is characterised by his intense engagement with Alevi philosophy and poetry, as well as his collaboration with musicians of various nationalities and styles.

Klingt Eastwood deals with contemporary philosophical themes on an abstract level: capitalism, modern slavery, paths to success and failure. Content-related aspects are conveyed through language samples, and although he is strongly influenced by the guitar music of the 90s and the corresponding energetic melancholic harmonies, pretty much anything is possible in his cross-genre musical work.
